The Elanid Kites

The Elanid Kites – sometimes referred to as White-tailed Kites are small, long-winged, hovering raptor that mostly feed on rodents.

Some species occur in the Americas, two in Australia, one each in Africa and southern Asia. The Black-winged Kite is found over a vast range from Europe and Africa in the west to South-east Asia in the east.
