The Rufous-tailed Weavers (Histurgops ruficaudus) is endemic to Kenya and Tanzania, where it occurs in grassland, agricultural and fynbos habitats. They are often seen near rivers.
These weavers breed in noisy colonies in trees (often willows or Eucalyptus, rarely palms) and reedbeds.
