What do raccoons eat?

Full-grown raccoon are fierce animals that are able to defend themselves very well. Sometimes they climb trees to escape from predators.

But the raccoon does have some natural enemies. cougars, bobcats, coyotes, and wolves will all sometimes kill and eat raccoons. In tropical and subtropical regions of North America and Central America, caimans and other crocodilians sometimes grab raccoon when they are near the water.

Big snakes such as boa constrictors and birds of prey such as large hawks and eagles also prey on raccoon from time to time.

And, what do raccoon eat? Raccoon eat just about anything they can find or catch, from insects, amphibians, and eggs to fruits and vegetables that they steal from people’s gardens!
