The Narrow-tailed Starlings (Poeoptera lugubris) is found in the following African countries: Angola, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Uganda.
