The Asian Golden Weavers (Ploceus hypoxanthus) is found in Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. This weaver is threatened by habitat loss.
Its preferred habitat is the subtropical or tropical seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland, swamps, and arable land areas.
