The Green-backed Honeybird (Prodotiscus zambesiae), – also known as the Green-backed Honeyguide or Eastern Green-backed Honeyguides – occurs naturally in the following African countries:
 

Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
