Backyard Birds

Large-footed Finches

The Large-footed Finches (Pezopetes capitalis) are found in highlands of Costa Rica and western Panama.

Notwithstanding their common names, these little birds are not actually finches, but belong to the Emberizidae family – which also includes buntings, American sparrows, juncos and towhees.
