The African Swallow-tailed Kite or Scissor-tailed Kites (Chelictinia riocouriiis) is an African bird of prey that is endemic to the following countries, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Ivory Coast, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Somalia, Sudan, Togo, Uganda and Yemen.
